You might not have guessed it given our brand name, but our jerky is actually made in the Highlands of Scotland. So why did we call it Wild West? Well we started out on the west coast of the Outer Hebrides, and, well it can get pretty wild out there.
As is the way up here in the Highlands, we like natural and high quality stuff only, so that's what goes into our jerky. The end result? Tender and tasty beef jerky which is high in protein.
Why do we use silverside of beef? For our jerky we view the silverside as a premium cut from the hind quarter which has a consistent quality across all herds. The nature of the muscle fibres makes it ideal for absorbing our tasty jerky marinade.
Wild West Jerky being high in protein, low in fat and carbohydrates makes it a perfect snack for all occasions: post gym, hiking, picnics, lunchtime and in between meals.
