We know we did here at Nutricircle. But who said getting your protein fix has to feel like a punishment? Not us! Here at Nutricircle we’ve rounded up four tasty, protein-packed snacks that aren’t just the same protein bars over and over.
From fudgy brownies, to ice pops to help you cool down in the warmer weather, these will actually have you looking forward to snack time. Say goodbye to boring and hello to delicious.

Peanut Butter Energy Balls Recipe
Ingredients:

255g natural peanut butter (smooth or chunky)

165g honey or maple syrup

100g oats
-
30g almond flour (or coconut flour)
Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter and honey. Stir until smooth.

Add the protein powder, oats and almond flour. Mix well until the dough forms.

If the mixture is too dry, add milk one tablespoon at a time until it reaches a rollable consistency. If it's too sticky, add a little more almond flour.

Roll the mixture into small bite-sized balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
Strawberries and Cream Ice Lollies
Ingredients:

70g strawberries fresh or frozen, chopped

1 cup filtered water 237ml
Instructions:

Place strawberries in an ice lolly mold so that they are not all falling to the bottom. Set aside.

Mix water and whey until smooth.

Pour whey mix into the popsicle molds. Adjust strawberries, if necessary.

Cover, and add top.
-
Freeze for several hours, or overnight.

To remove pops from mold, it may help to immerse the mold in room temperature water.
Chocolate Protein Mug Cake
Ingredients:

1 tablespoon coconut flour
-
2 tablespoon granulated sweetener of choice
-
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
-
1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder adjust to desired chocolate content

1 large egg or 3 egg whites

60ml milk
Instructions:

Grease a small cereal bowl or deep mug and set aside.

In a mixing bowl, combine the protein powder, coconut flour, baking powder, granulated sweetener and cocoa powder and mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg with the milk and pour into the dry mixture and mix until fully incorporated. Top with chocolate chips if desired.

Microwave for 60 seconds and remove from microwave and enjoy immediately.
Protein Brownies
Ingredients:

300g banana measured as mashed
-
120g almond butter can sub for peanut butter, or a nut butter alternative
-
25g cocoa powder
Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180C/350F. Line an 8 x 8-inch pan with parchment paper and set aside.

In a high speed blender or mixing bowl, combine all your ingredients and blend or mix until smooth.

Transfer the brownie batter to the lined pan and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are firm.

Remove the brownies from the oven. Let them cool completely before slicing and serving.
